"Winter Walks" are interpretive guided snowshoe tours designed to be an enjoyable and informative outdoor activity. Snowshoe guides will take you on a journey through one of our local destinations while sharing their knowledge about the local history, culture, and environment. After an easy to moderate snowshoe hike, enjoy a hot drink and some locally curated snacks to finish off this unforgettable winter experience.

Crimson Ridge - Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

The Crimson Ridge tour is an evening experience from that you are sure to remember. Hiking on sections of the Voyageur Trail, this 2.5 km loop is on the outskirts of Sault Ste Marie - located where the forest meets the city in a unique edge-habitat around the Crimson Ridge Golf Course. Our guides will interpret along the way, pointing out neat ecological stories of the surrounding forest, and leading the group to a lookout overseeing Sault Ste Marie. This tour ends with a hot drink and some tapas style cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients at Ember’s Grill and Smokehouse.  (Meet at Ember’s Grill and Smokehouse, 418 Fourth Line W, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 5K8.

The tour runs TUES. and THURS. evenings from 5:30 to 7:30pm.)

Peregrine Valley - Goulais River, Ontario.

The Peregrine Valley Tour is an immersive outdoor experience that you do not want to miss! Hit the forest trail with our knowledgeable guides as they take you on this 3.5 km loop through the gently rolling hills of Algoma Region’s winter wonderland. Passing through mixed-hardwood and coniferous forests, this tour ends around a campfire at our “Snow Walker Camp” with a hot beverage and a locally curated baked good that will warm your soul. (Start location is a 30-min drive (34-km) from Sault Ste Marie. This tour takes place on private property in Goulais River. Information provided upon booking.
